Is it possible to use soap dispensers as hand sanitizer

The simple answer is yes; however, if you want to see if your current dispensers are appropriate for hand sanitizer gel, you should check a few items first, as you could damage them or cause them to malfunction in the long run.

There are soap dispensers that can hold both liquid soap and alcohol-based consumables without requiring any changes to the pieces. As a result, the dispenser you have can already be able to handle hand sanitizer dispenser and soap dispenser. Since the insides and valves of certain dispensers are only suitable for liquid soap, and alcohol can harm the materials of certain dispensers, some can only take liquid soap. There are also those that can only use foaming soap.

Some soap dispensers, on the other hand, have different inner tanks but the same outer shell, allowing you to swap out the tanks and valves to accommodate different soaps. For example, a Clean flow 1500ml Lever Operated Liquid Soap and Hydro alcoholic Gel Dispenser can be converted to foam soap, liquid soap/alcohol gel, or spray by simply modifying the insides and pumps, rather than the whole device.

So, what do you look for in bulk alcohol-compatible soap dispensers?

Since alcohol is more corrosive than regular soap, the valves and inner tanks should be able to handle it. The pump's life will always be longer when it's used with regular soap than when it's used with alcohol-based liquids and gels, but the pump should be durable enough to last a long time.

If the inner tank is easily replaceable, you will only need to replace it rather than the entire dispenser, which will save you money in the long run. However, you must first determine the type of dispenser you have in order to fit the correct internals.

The tank should be made of non-degradable plastics that will not degrade when exposed to alcohol.

This is merely a suggestion, but the tank should be equipped with a lid to prevent the alcohol from evaporating. This means that by using liquid soap, you should remove the lid and replace it with alcohol-based items. When using liquid soap, the Clean flow 900ml Bulk Fill Liquid Soap and Alcohol Gel Dispenser has an open tank for easy filling, but it also comes with a lid that can be placed on top of the tank when using alcohol gel. Some dispensers, including the Clean flow 1000ml Bulk Fill Push Button Liquid Soap Dispenser, will already have a closed tank, so this shouldn't be a problem if everything else is in order.
